Racist redneck and older brother of Daryl. While trapped on a roof in Atlanta, Merle threatens and holds a small group of people hostage. Rick turns the tables and handcuffs Merle to a pipe. Eventually Rick and Daryl go back to save him, however Merle is missing. His chopped off hand is the only thing that remains.
Merle is a old school redneck bad ass, never count him out. He is just nasty and mean enough to still be alive.
