Todd McFarlane is back at it again with the new lineup for The Walking Dead action figures. This time around he’s included some pretty bad-ass zombies. See below for the new additions and you can check out more info at SPAWN.com.

The small-town sheriff’s turned-hero and leader of the survivors during the zombie apocalypse, Rick continues to struggle with his moral convictions in season two. Rick is depicted in a brand-new sculpt in his civilian attire, prevalent in season two. Figure features interchangeable hands to hold multiple weapons, along with 14 points of articulation. Additional accessories include removable revolver, rifle with strap, and animal control stick for zombie catching.

Rick’s partner and loyal friend, Shane was clearly the antagonist of season two. While Shane is no longer with us, he will never be forgotten. Shane will be featured in tactical attire with a shaved head and features a single-barrel shotgun, ready to pick off zombies at a moments notice.

During the opening scene of season two, a mob of flesh-eating zombies swarm the group. Unaware of the flesh-eating zombie onslaught, Andrea becomes trapped in the recreational vehicle when one climbs aboard. Under attack from this “RV” Zombie, Andrea fights back, stabbing the zombie in the eyeball with a screwdriver. Our zombie figure simulates that scene with a flip-back head play-action and a removable screwdriver in its eye.

A rotten, bloated zombie trapped at the bottom of Hershel’s water wells, which the survivors eventually attempt to remove by using Glen as bait. Figure includes 9 points of articulation with a pull-apart play-action that reveals his bloody guts inside. Accessories include attached rope and canned ham.

The maimed zombie girl shown crawling next to her bicycle in a park turned out to be one of the most iconic zombies from season one. She is also the first zombie Deputy Rick Grimes encountered in the season one opener. Figure features an eerie reaching motion play-action while lying on her base. Accessories include a damaged cell phone and jeans, as seen in AMC’s webisodes.

The Walking Dead Issue 100

The Walking Dead just had a huge milestone this week. Issue 100 arrived with some of the best storytelling in recent issues. This 100th issue contained the conclusion to “Something To Fear”, which had been a mini story arc written out in 4 issues. I had my predictions about how it would end, but Kirkman’s conclusion still left me speechless as my jaw dropped from shock. Kirkman sure knows how to pull at your emotions. I will not go into details so I don’t spoil anything. However, for those of you that are fans of the show, I strongly recommend reading the comics. You will not regret it.

Walking Dead Marathon

Hello there lurkers and walkers! Be sure to check out The Walking Dead marathon all weekend long on AMC. It’s kind of a season 3 preview weekend. Full episodes for the past two seasons will be shown including a never before seen Black and White(!) version of the series pilot!!!! How cool is that? It’s a nice throw-back to the zombie flicks of old and not to mention the comic book is also in black and white. So get out of that heat, sit back and relax with some zombie tales to keep you cool.

The Walking Dead Casts David Morrissey as “The Governor”

After all the talking and rumors circling the internet, it appears The Governor has finally been cast for future installments of The Walking Dead. David Morrissey will play fan-favorite The Governor.
In the comics, The Governor was one mean SOB. A very important antagonist, The Governor secured a small establishment in the town of Woodbury where he would capture lone survivors and force them to fight zombies. Rick and a small group of people stumble upon Woodbury where The Governor gives them a false sense of security. The Governor then shows his true motives and the sh!t hits the fan. I don’t want to give away anymore else, for fear of spoiling the storyline.
I’m not too familiar with Morrissey’s work, but this is good news to know a major plot line from the comics is being developed for the show.

Walking Dead Season 2 Ratings

It looks like the zombies are taking over the telecommunication medium. After stellar ratings from the mid-season debut, the second episode followed suit.
Nebraska started off with a bang by bringing in more than 8 million viewers. That viewership broke Season 2′s premiere episode, which had 7.3 million viewers. Keep in mind that the show had stiff competition and was shown the same night as the Grammys.
Episode 2, Trigger Finger, had a slight dip in ratings but still had powerful numbers. 6.9 viewers tuned in to check out the second episode and totaled at 8.5 million including the repeat viewers. This is fantastic news and with the 3rd season already green-lit, we should be able to look forward to many more seasons ahead.

The Walking Dead Cutting-Room Floor

Walking Dead Marathon

Listen up you Walking Dead maniacs! This weekend is your last chance to get caught up on the first two seasons. AMC will be airing all of season 1 on Saturday night, beginning with episode 1 – Days Gone By at 8pm. Stay up all night long and get your fill. Then on Sunday, AMC will air the first half of season 2, leading up to the mid-season premiere of Nebraska. So turn off your phone, pop some popcorn, lock your door and turn out the lights for a zombie-filled weekend.

Does Robert Kirkman Have Control Over the Characters?

You would think someone who has created their own world would want full control. I would think it could almost get violent in certain situations, when big studios want to change story lines and characters, but I guess I would be surprised when it comes to Robert Kirkman.

The Walking Dead Facebook Survivor
