Walking Dead Season 2 Ratings
February 22nd, 2012It looks like the zombies are taking over the telecommunication medium. After stellar ratings from the mid-season debut, the second episode followed suit.
Nebraska started off with a bang by bringing in more than 8 million viewers. That viewership broke Season 2′s premiere episode, which had 7.3 million viewers. Keep in mind that the show had stiff competition and was shown the same night as the Grammys.
Episode 2, Trigger Finger, had a slight dip in ratings but still had powerful numbers. 6.9 viewers tuned in to check out the second episode and totaled at 8.5 million including the repeat viewers. This is fantastic news and with the 3rd season already green-lit, we should be able to look forward to many more seasons ahead.
The Walking Dead Season 2 Zombie Head Case
February 18th, 2012For those of you that are infatuated with collecting ultra-limited-special-edition-collectors DVD/Blu-ray box sets, have I got the set for you. MacFarlane Toys and Anchor Bay have teamed up to create a Walking Dead Zombie Head Case.
Check this thing out. It’s a zombie head with a screwdriver jammed straight through its eye! Oh, and that’s not all. Slide open the zombie’s head to reveal Season 2 of The Walking Dead. Hopefully they do more like this for the forthcoming seasons. Just imagine the look on people’s faces when they see your book shelf lined with a dozen or so zombie heads.
I can’t wait.
The Walking Dead Legos
February 16th, 2012Ever wonder what The Walking Dead would look like in Lego form? Me too. I took a look quick around the world wide web and discovered some familiar characters and even entire scenes based upon our favorite TV show. Take a look below at some killer Walking Dead scenarios made out of Lego’s.
The Walking Dead Cutting-Room Floor
February 15th, 2012I know how it is. You’re all caught up on AMC’s The Walking Dead and you can’t wait for the next episode. In fact, you’ve watched season one and two a total of 5 times each. You’re also all caught up on the comic book that the show is based upon. What do you do now? Well I have the answer. Order Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead: Cutting Room Floor and absorb even more stories about The Walking Dead. Due out in March, said book covers all the plot lines that were never put into the comic. It also includes never before seen material. That’s right, these are stories that were left on the cutting room floor and can be seen for the very first time. You can pre-order this beauty now at amazon. CLICK HERE

Chat with ‘The Walking Dead’ star Jon Bernthal
February 8th, 2012Ever have a burning desire to ask Jon Bernthal, aka Shane from The Walking Dead a specific question? Well now is your chance to find out the answer. The LA Times will have a web chat with Bernthal on February 13th and you will have the opportunity to ask him anything your zombie-filled heart desires.
Ask him whatever you want! Want to know how filming has been without series creator Frank Darabont? Ask him. Want to know if zombies are real? Go ahead, ask him. Is Shane the father of Lori’s child? I doubt he even knows, but now you can find out! Make sure you sign up at the LA Times Show Tracker and don’t forget about the mid season premiere this Sunday night on AMC!
The Walking Dead Facebook Survivor
February 7th, 2012Hey there zombie fans, we are less than one week away from the mid-season premiere of The Walking Dead!
AMC has recently created a little facebook video where you are thrust in the shoes of a lonely survivor. Awaken to a world of the undead through the eyes of someone who has no one to trust and nowhere to go.
Check out Facebook to Experience being a survivor where every step might be your last. Just hearing the theme music has gotten me so amped!
I must warn you…it might not end well. ![]()
Zombie Apocalypse Weapons by Gerber
February 4th, 2012Having the right tools for the job! When surviving in a world where the living dead are potentially at every corner, you must be prepared with a weapon for protection. In season 2 of The Walking Dead, Glenn was able to find a machete and other useful knives in an abandoned car.
This machete is made by Gerber and you can actually purchase said machete, along with other hand held weapons. Yes, it’s nice to have a rifle for long range shooting or maybe even a 7.62 mm minigun to mow down a horde of roamers. But you will eventually run out of bullets. So make sure you keep your knives and machetes handy for close encounters. Protect your group with your very own Gerber Apocalypse Kit.
John Hawkes NOT In Walking Dead says Publicist
February 3rd, 2012Whoa whoa whoa…OK hold on here everyone. Let’s not the jump the gun yet. Word is that John Hawkes will not be appearing in The Walking Dead as The Governor.
The Oscar-nominated star’s publicist emailed TheWrap and said:
“John is NOT appearing on The Walking Dead,”
We know it wasn’t confirmed, so we were just being a little overambitious. We won’t know for sure who will be playing The Governor, until season 3 airs. I suppose the filmmakers still have plenty of time to decide on which actor should fill the role. Until then, there’s nothing wrong with speculation. After all, this is the internet. ![]()
Tom Savini or John Hawkes as The Governor?
February 2nd, 2012With the recent announcement about The Walking Dead receiving a 3rd season, there has been much talk about which new characters will be introduced. Many rumors have been floating around about Michonne, but now the talk is about The Governor. For those of you that haven’t read the comics, The Governor is the baddest of the bad. He’s an evil son-of-a-b!tch. He basically establishes and controls a large group of people in a town called Woodbury. He captures people and does vicious and unethical things to them. That’s all I’m going to say about him for now. If you plan on reading the comics and despise spoilers, then DO NOT go searching the Internet for “The Governor”. ![]()
Anyway, MovieWeb recently spoke with cult horror icon Tom Savini, about The Governor appearing in future episodes of The Walking Dead. It turns out Savini feels he would be the best man to done the patch.
However, according to Savini, make up artist, Greg Nicotero admits the producers are looking for a big name for the role. Namely John Hawkes.
“I have been campaigning to be the governor on that damn thing with Greg Nicotero for over a year,” said Savini. “Everytime I see the graphic novel, and I see a picture of the governor, who looks just like me, I send Greg a picture. I just won’t give up. Last time I talked to him about it, when I was in Los Angeles, he said they were going after a name for that part. I said, ‘Who?’ He said John Hawkes.”
Who do you think should play The Governor? Savini or Hawkes? Or maybe you have someone else in mind.
